Beeswax Block – What can I use it for?

Our pure Beeswax block (a happy by-product of honey production) is actually more useful than you think! Used for ages as a polish or lubricant for wood and wooden furniture – think “Squeaky” legs, floorboards and doors. Which brings us to the next thing beeswax blocks are very useful for – hinges. Squeaky hinges? Beeswax! Curtains getting a bit sticky on their hooks or runners? A quick rub with a Beeswax bar and your curtains will behave like a dream. Sticky Zips and zippers? You guessed it! Beeswax to the rescue. Even seamstresses will tell you that running thread through a beeswax block not only strengthens cotton thread (especially for Button holes for example where thread needs extra strength) but it prevents double strands from getting knotted while you hand-stitch. Beeswax – an ancient product making a comeback – for all the right reasons: Usefulness, and non-toxic.
